Mapping Lavapiés is a digital humanities project that traces the layered interplay between space, identity, and immigration in Lavapiés, one of Madrid’s most symbolically charged neighborhoods. Using ArcGIS StoryMaps, this project visualizes how immigrants inhabit, contest, and reimagine urban space in the face of systemic erasure, gentrification, and racialized media narratives.
