Villoro’s Chicago is a digital humanities project that transforms Juan Villoro’s short story “Chicago” (2014) into an interactive map where literature and geography converge. Through thick mapping, it visualizes the hybrid city imagined by Villoro’s narrator—a space that exists between Mexico City and Chicago—inviting viewers to explore overlapping geographies, cultural intersections, and memories. The project reinterprets the story’s spatial imagination, turning reading into an act of digital navigation and interdisciplinary exploration.
